Where do I begin...this is my special Senior, Delaney Lewis. (aka "Laney Lew")
To say how proud I am of Delaney and her accomplishments is an understatement. She has always gone above and beyond all things she has set her mind to. At Carl Sandburg High School she was on the National Honor Society, Student Advisory Board, Volleyball, Track Team and the VP of the Chess Club, a game she had never played before High School and then was one of the top six players.
I've waited for this day for quite some time to take Delaney's Senior Photos. You see, I think I "may" have overdone it when Delaney was young taking her photo too many times. Although I find her extremely photogenic and a natural poser, she is not a fan of getting her photos taken.
Due to COVID we were unable to get professional hair/make-up done so between me and our long time friend I did her make-up and she did her hair and I think she looked beautiful! Delaney chose outfits that we picked out just for her shoot. She is a yoga pants and pony tail type of gal on any given day like most of her friends.
Let's just say that this day was special day the I will treasure forever.
Delaney decided Junior year that she wanted to go into Nursing. Senior year she was chosen to get involved in the BNAT program through Moraine Valley Community College during her Senior year of High School. Delaney searched out colleges that had direct admit programs. After visiting a "long shot" college in a state we had never even been in...she fell in love. West Virginia University filled with hills and beautiful landscaping was where Laney would be calling home for the next four years.
There is no doubt that Delaney can do anything she puts her mind to! She has always been quite determined. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for her.
